About Us
Formed in 1983, International Innovation Services (IIS) is one of the region’s leading business development consultancies. Since 1997, IIS has worked closely with many start-up businesses and has been responsible for over 400 new company registrations in South Yorkshire alone.
Many of the companies we help at this stage continue to value our involvement throughout all their stages of their development. The vast majority of our enquiries are the result of referrals from existing or previous clients.
Steve Dore, CEO and original founding partner is a serial entrepreneur and innovation expert who works with the United Nations and a variety of Regional, National and Multinational agencies including Business Link, Yorkshire Forward and UNIDO to design and develop economic development programmes.
IIS is one of the region’s leading technology transfer and market research consultancies with links across the world. We work with the region’s university network on commercialising IP and have close links with professional and specialist agencies such as solicitors, accountants and IP Lawyers.
We are keen to encourage the professional development of our clients and provide mentoring and support from our experienced business coaches. We have close links with specialist financial packaging, manufacturing and technical development, recruitment, interim management and property consultancies so that growth in the business can be effectively managed.
We have an excellent track record of accessing specialist regional and national grants designed to support innovation and research and development in business, and large scale capital projects. Private equity is sourced from our network and via our FSA regulated partners.
IIS has the skills and experience to support businesses from the concept stage, all the way through to raising private equity and venture capital. We have supported several high profile companies and use an exclusive, proven technology commercialisation system (TCS) to support companies through all stages of their development.
In 2006, IIS successfully spun-out LIFE-IC, the World’s first renewable energy technology accelerator.
